Welcome to The 2024 National Urban Sports Classic!
Launched by The BASE in 2017, the “Urban Classic” brings together youth from urban areas across the country for exceptional baseball, basketball, and softball competition combined with inspiring education, career and community experiences. The event is hosted by The BASE and held in Boston, MA, the first week of August each year, and is open to the public.
This year’s event runs from July 31 – August 4 and welcomes over 30 teams from 8 states. Visiting teams will stay at Boston University and games will be held at athletic facilities across the city, including Boston College and UMass Boston.
In addition to tournament games, special events include:
- Welcome Party at The BASE
- NUSC College & Sports Panel Discussion
- Community BBQ
- Closing Ceremony & Showcase Games
