Basketball

The BASE officially expanded to include basketball in 2019, with the launch of the BASE Hoopz program. As a program of The BASE, Hoopz is grounded in both player development and youth development, and includes access to significant academic & career resources.

Now in its fifth year, BASE Hoopz serves approximately nearly 1,000 student-athletes annually, ages 6-19, year-round with league play, skills training, academics, and mentoring. We operate grade-level teams, 3rd through 12th grade, with 10-12 players per team.

As the program has grown, we have been intentional about expanding the number of girls served and entering more of our girls teams into tournaments. We currently serve close to 75 girls at the middle school and high school levels.

Winning On & Off the Court

Like all BASE programs, BASE Hoopz is about much more than basketball. Our student-athletes have to earn their spot by participating in academic programs and keeping their grades up. Hoopz players are offered SAT/ACT Prep, college application support and campus tours, STEM programs, and everything else provided by The BASE.

BASE Hoopz operates year-round, partnering with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston and other organizations and schools for gyms and practice facilities. Our players compete in high-exposure events and tournaments, and in the summer we operate our own BASE Hoopz league.

Boys and Girls in grades 3-12 can register here.
